Central Africa Republic : 

The losses and consequences in Central Africa Republic since 2013 are massive, suffering from constant violence even affecting civilians. Nearly 900,000 people whether it is inside or outside the country displaced to flee the clashes between the armed groups  and around hundred thousand of people left their house. Villages were burned and abandoned mostly in Ouham, Ouham-Pendé and Haut-Mbomou, making families live without food, shelters or protections.

Even basic services were seriously damaged by the conflict as well as the country’s economics. Children starving  and suffering of malnutrition because of the agriculture which collapsed in many regions causing food shortages, additionally the fact that health center are destroyed the situation couldn’t be worse. The schools as well were destroyed all those lacking essential factors left the populations without education or medical care. Women and girls were victims of gender-based violence. In conclusion, the country was immersed into long-term poverty, while many families lived in fear and constant instability, those made the recovery extremely challenging.  

Democratic Republic of Congo: 

Since 1998, Democratic Republic of Congo went through the most horrible conflicts and crisis in Africa through the severly high number of death, around millions of people killed across different regions more specifically North Kivu, South Kivu and Ituri. Over 7 million of people displaced internally making the DRC one of the highest displacement level in world, this occurred because of homes destroyed, villages emptied and communities forced to flee their homes because of the situation.

Populations living without education, food or even medical care because the schools, farms and hospitals that were damaged and destroyed, making the crisis affect even their daily life. The lack of  cleanness in the environment because of the situation allowed diseases to spread quickly and easily like cholera or even measles. Woman and children are traumatized facing those violence linked to the conflict and are especially vulnerable. Overall the war and crisis were so severe and affected a large range of the population making the recovery extremely difficult and families struggled to rebuild their homes and environment.
